oNE MILLION VOLUNTEER HOURS ACHIEVED

JABIL CARES

1,018,904 Volunteer hours

Jabil Cares, our community outreach and volunteerism platform, inspired tens of thousands of employees across the globe to give back to their communities last year as we exceeded our commitment to give back one million volunteer hours globally.

Each hour is a story of our employees doing good for individuals and communities in need. Our sites connected with local community leaders, nonprofit organizations, and government / municipalities to address the most prevalent social issues facing society.

Our 100+ sites around the world cleaned up green spaces, hosted school supplies drives, helped those facing food insecurity, mentored high school robotics teams, and much more. Our employees were instrumental in driving positive change with their unwavering volunteer spirit, generosity, and kindness.

Below is a small snapshot of our incredible year of making a difference!

TAICHUNG, TAIWAN

Our employees across our Taiwan sites have dedicated time this past year cleaning up coastlines and green spaces in their communities. They have removed thousands of pounds of trash and unsightly debris and deposed of them properly.

“Taking care of the planet is a priority at Jabil. This action is our way of showing that we care about creating a sustainable future,” said Basal Liao, vice president of operations. “It is through small actions that big differences are made, and our sites are committed to making a positive impact in the environment.”

GUADALAJARA, MEXICO

Our sites across Mexico served as the host region for our Global Volunteer Day supporting World Food Day. Each site organized events to support those facing hunger in their local communities, mobilizing thousands of employees to get involved and make a difference.

Baja, Chihuahua, Juarez, Monterrey, and Torres held a food construction competition where teams of

employees built artistic structures from donated food. There was a lot of creative and innovative designs and all the food was donated to local organizations.

In Guadalajara, they held their second annual Race Against Hunger event at Guadalajara Technology Park.

Employees donated food as their entry into the race. The response from our Guadalajara sites was jaw dropping:12,000 employees donated items and 700 participated in the race. In total, six tons or 12,000 pounds of food were delivered to seven nonprofit organizations.

Jabil’s site in Penang created excitement around careers in manufacturing with students in the local community. The site welcomed 40 female students from the Women in Zcience program which encourages and motivates young women towards careers in STEM fields. The students had the opportunity to learn about our operations, speak to women leaders, and participate in a panel session.

"It was a lot of fun to lead the site tour for these amazing, talented young women," said Salmizan Salleh, test functional manager at our Penang site. "To have the opportunity to share more about my career journey and motivate the next generation was inspiring ... I wanted share that anything is possible if you believe in yourself and your abilities."

Additionally, employees attended the Penang International Science Fair 2023 and interacted with students across Malaysia eager to learn more about the possibilities of careers in STEM. The site donated 500 Bristle Bot Learning Kits to spark creativity and innovative designs with the students in attendance.

Throughout the week, volunteers completed a variety of projects to create an inspiring place for students to further their academic success, express themselves creatively, and play outside in a newly landscaped area. The final reveal brought smiles, uncontrolled excitement, and even tears of joy. One student said, "I don't like this place, I love this place."
